Dr. Naresh Bansal is a Consultant at the Institute of Liver, Gastroenterology and Pancreato Biliary Sciences at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He also serves as Associate Professor at GRIPMER – The Ganga Ram Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research. An astute Gastroenterologist, Liver Specialist, Endoscopist, and Transplant Hepatologist, Dr. Bansal completed his MBBS from the SMS Medical College in Jaipur, MD (Medicine) from JLN Medical College in Ajmer, and DNB (Gastroenterology) from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. As a committed medical professional, he has attended many advanced courses and training programmes conducted by renowned institutions such as the Pancreato Biliary & Liver Diseases Foundation (Singapore), the Johns Hopkins University & School of Medicine (USA) and the European Society of Interventional Radiology (Greece). Dr. Naresh Bansal has 40 publications and more than 50 presentations to his credit. He holds several key memberships in prestigious medical professional bodies including the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Bansal has been the recipient of many awards. He received the Bikaner Chapter Award by API and the Best Poster Award from the Society of GI Endoscopy of India in 2006. He has received awards from many dignitaries for medical excellence, including from the Vice President of India and the Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He has also been honoured by various NGOs on several occasions for his service to mankind and society. He has organised various free camps in Delhi and remote areas of Haryana and Rajasthan. He has been instrumental in raising awareness about Hepatitis B and C and in holding various free vaccination camps. Dr. Naresh Bansal is a keen author and his medical articles are published in several newspapers. He is a good orator and has delivered almost 100 lectures at various local, national and international meetings and conferences, which have been widely appreciated.
