This hospital is the efforts of a group of like minded people who had seen their relatives and friends suffer from cancer. They registered a non-government voluntary organization - Dharamshila Cancer Foundation and Research Centre (DCFRC) on 19 April 1990, with the main aim of offering a complete, holistic cancer treatment that was not only easily accessible but also affordable. The first phase of the hospital was completed in 1994 with 100 beds which eventually expanded to 300 beds in 2006. The hospital is the first and only cancer hospital of India and accredited by NABH and NABL. The hospital is located at Vasundhara Enclave.
