The patients who suffer from Joint hypermobility syndrome can easily move and extend the joints beyond the normal range of motion of that particular joint. The muscles move from their place very smoothly. Hypermobality of joint is caused when the tissues that helps n keeping the joint together and stiff becomes loose. The loose ligament provides the ease to the muscles and joints that are affected with the syndrome thus allowing them to move easily beyond its normal limit.  

The joints that are most commonly affected by joint hypermobility syndrome include shoulders, knees, elbows, hips, wrists, fingers, ankles etc. This problem mainly occurs in children and the study says that the hypermobile joints in children becomes normal and loses the hyperextension as they grow up.

The major signs and symptoms of joint hypermobilty include hypermobile joints or hyperextensible skin. A few other symptoms include frequent dislocation of joints, delicate tissues that break easily, wound healing becomes difficult.

 The patients who suffer from this problem usually complaints about having constant pain in the joints and few of them also suffer from chronic joint pain and limb pain.

Abnormal muscles balance and finding it difficult to stabilize the joints correctly becomes a common problem for joint hypermobility syndrome patients. Due to misbalanced muscles sometime the patients have to suffer severe pain. Proper functioning of joints like normal people do is not possible in case of people who have joint hypermobility problem and it is difficult for them to do common daily activities with ease. They cannot participate in the activities that are forceful and requires energy due to weak and hypermobile joints.

Overcoming Hypermobilty Syndrome:   

General exercises like simple movements can be performed for getting relief from the problem but it is suggested that not to go for any stretching exercises as it may create trouble for the muscles. People with joint hypermobilty often suffers with spinal pain, this is due to the force that acts upon it while trying to keep the muscles stable. Few selected exercises can be followed in this situation but you should consult a physiotherapist before trying anything new.

Undergoing gentle weight training is suggested and as it can be helpful in securing the spine and other joints. These exercises are helpful in setting up the joint right and prevent the excessive joint movements. Choosing a good physiotherapist can be the best solution for this problem as in this situation the patients need to work on several aspects that can help them maintaining their muscle strength.
